Mini fridge, July 2025at WHOLE Festival, Ferrispolis, Germany

Installed into the woodlands at Ferrispolis, an old industrial site used for mining, the Mini Fridge transformed the infamous teenage bedroom accesory of the 90s into a larger-than-life structure for festival visitors to indulge in. Over the days of WHOLE festival, the fridge became moldier, stinkier and was made the home of vegetable people that guided visitors through secret missions to recieve sometimes sweet and sometimes sour offerings! This included the creation of personalised fridge magnets, free food, squishy vegetable making and eletrical waste jewellery. The sculptures walls were lined with paper pulp made from recycled party posters sourced from the layered lamposts in nearby Berlin. Drawings, notes and shopping lists were also added to the fridge door during the festival, enabling the Mini fridge to become a vehicle of reminder, message sharing and gathering through hand written communication.
