Installed in various location in Seydisfjordur, ‘Screaming steps’ is a video work that documents the growing paper ladder sculpture that elongated to 9 metres in length. Intersecting the ‘gaps’ found in everyday environments to get closer to unreachable peripheries, over 20 people installed this collapsing sculpture to reach a disused staircase at the top of a cliff face. Unable to hold the weight of a person, the sculpture performed as an unusable ladder, echoing the metal one waiting above.
